Well its just a simple modification. A select all little button by whatever thats called /. I dont know about you but its pretty annoying trying to select all text in a code box especially if there is a lot to copy.
Something along the lines of this [Image: ge37k.png]
eg trying selecting all of this text...or maybe its just me.
Code
The modern Olympic Games (French: les Jeux olympiques, JO[1]) are a major international event featuring summer and winter sports in which thousands of athletes participate in a variety of competitions. The Olympic Games are considered to be the world's foremost sports competition with more than 200 nations participating.[2] The Games are currently held biennially, with Summer and Winter Olympic Games alternating, meaning they each occur every four years. Their creation was inspired by the ancient Olympic Games, which were held in Olympia, Greece, from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD. Baron Pierre de Coubertin founded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1894. The IOC has since become the governing body of the Olympic Movement, with the Olympic Charter defining its structure and authority.
The evolution of the Olympic Movement during the 20th and 21st centuries has resulted in several changes to the Olympic Games. Some of these adjustments include the creation of the Winter Games for ice and winter sports, the Paralympic Games for athletes with a disability, and the Youth Olympic Games for teenage athletes. The IOC has had to adapt to the varying economic, political, and technological realities of the 20th century. As a result, the Olympics shifted away from pure amateurism, as envisioned by Coubertin, to allow participation of professional athletes. The growing importance of the mass media created the issue of corporate sponsorship and commercialization of the Games. World wars led to the cancellation of the 1916, 1940, and 1944 Games. Large boycotts during the Cold War limited participation in the 1980 and 1984 Games.
The Olympic Movement consists of international sports federations (IFs), National Olympic Committees (NOCs), and organizing committees for each specific Olympic Games. As the decision-making body, the IOC is responsible for choosing the host city for each Olympic Games. The host city is responsible for organizing and funding a celebration of the Games consistent with the Olympic Charter. The Olympic program, consisting of the sports to be contested at the Games, is also determined by the IOC. The celebration of the Games encompass many rituals and symbols, such as the Olympic flag and torch, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies. Over 13,000 athletes compete at the Summer and Winter Olympics in 33 different sports and nearly 400 events. The first, second, and third place finishers in each event receive Olympic medals: gold, silver, and bronze, respectively.
The Games have grown in scale to the point that nearly every nation is represented. Such growth has created numerous challenges, including boycotts, doping, bribery, and terrorism. Every two years, the Olympics and its media exposure provide unknown athletes with the chance to attain national, and sometimes international fame. The Games also constitute a major opportunity for the host city and country to showcase themselves to the world.

I agree there should be a select all button. Great Suggestion. A little Java Script should do the trick.

* - Retribute - Sep 22, 2012

I love the idea. I'm usually on the iPhone, and it's a pain in the ass, or even not possible, to select the entire quoted or coded text to copy and paste.

Thanks i am always on my phone and trying to select the coded text is near impossible. Also when i press ctrl a it selects the whole page not just the coded text maybe that could also be fixed. Something like pastebins raw data

I support this actually. Have had some trouble in the past. 🤝

I'll think of some way to do it with a userscript...
This was suggested and (if I remember right) denied in the past.

I support this completely. It's a hassle sometimes when it's very long, or if you're on a mobile.

* - tres - Sep 22, 2012

I completely support this, hope it goes through.

Oh I agree. I've peeked into this a couple times too. Doesn't appear to be an efficient way to accomplish this though.

MyBB 1.6x changed how mycode works and I hate the slider and having code hidden. Definitely makes it annoying to select all too.

I've made suggestion to MyBB to add all default MyCode to the database for easier editing and control. If they listen it will vastly change how most MyBB forums deal with their MyCode. A slew of new more custom codes would occur.

Spent a few minutes now looking again. Same conclusion. Too much of a pain in the ass to edit core files just to have this simple feature. Maybe in 1.8x I can do it. Codeblocks aren't under ID's they are under a class which imho is the bad move.

Well that sucks Omni. The userscript does a fine job though.

So there is no way around this? I have seen some mybb forums with this feature.

Well that sucks :/..

I'll stick to the userscripts then.
