Anime Artist - Digital or Traditional? Your Opinion Wanted [POLL] - Shady ^_^ - Sep 23, 2012 So the title is pretty much self-explanatory, what do you think is the best way of drawing? Digitally or Traditionally.(Drawing on computer or Drawing in real life) Tell me your opinions on this please as I'm currently in the loop of trying to figure out what to do .. I will greatly value your statements, thanks! * - Eclipse - Sep 23, 2012 I'd rather draw traditionally rather than digitally for the fun of it. Having a digital drawing of an anime doesn't feel right usially when it's your first time drawing. And drawing traditionally has more dynamic feelings somehow. Thats my opinion anyways. xHysteria. * - BaussHacker - Sep 23, 2012 A mix of both. With traditional you can make mistakes and when you do your paper gets to look bad. Digital it's much easier to correct mistakes. Sketches traditional and then fixing it up digital :) * - Happeh - Sep 23, 2012 Both. Drawing traditionally is fantastic to view, but then scanning it and making it look beautiful in photoshop/Paintool SAI etc. is even better. * - BaussHacker - Sep 23, 2012 (Sep 23, 2012 04:59 AM)Happeh Wrote: Both. Giving the drawings color makes it looks amazing as well :) 🤝 * - Ρaragon - Sep 23, 2012 Much easier and better to draw digitally. You can sketch better, fix mistakes, change line thickness and color much better. * - Reindeer11 - Sep 23, 2012 I love drawing where they draw it by hand at first and then they draw on top of it with a PC. It can make some really nice drawing which doesn't look "overpolished" :) * - Shady ^_^ - Sep 23, 2012 But if you draw digitally, do you use a tablet or just a normal mouse? * - Angel Beats! - Sep 23, 2012 1. Draw traditionally 2. Trace digitally w/ tablet 3. ?? 4. Profit * - Jay - Sep 23, 2012 If it is me rather than an anime producer than of course traditionally. But if it is an anime producer than definitely digitally, as I prefer anime's with beautiful graphics. :) * - Iquoris - Sep 23, 2012 I don't prefer one over the other. I find drawing them traditionally is much easier than digitally, but I lack the resources to do a complete drawing traditionally. * - Galaxias - Sep 23, 2012 A mixed of both tradit. and digital is pretty good. |
