Darkcomet not showing slaves - Leon_V._Metcalf - Nov 4, 2012

Hello members of HF. I have been experiencing some problems with Darkcomet. I have correctly portforwarded (when I went to canyouseeme.org, it says that port * was a success) and disabled all my AVs. I also followed Plutonium's tutorial on how to setup Darkcomet (https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=2698687), and followed everything mentioned in the thread. I didn't even encrypt the server, I ran it raw on Sandboxie. It doesn't even show me! I also read the "Help" section of the Darkcomet program, and it said something about not using NAT in VMware. Problem is, I have a NAT router. Is this causing the problem? ❓

Sorry, this is my first time using a RAT, so correct me if I have any mistakes.

Have you setup a no-ip? That could be your problem. Are you also listening to the port in darkcomet?

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that too. I already made an account and used my host name as the address for darkcomet. And I am also listening to a port with uPNP Automatic Portfowarding enabled.

Did this, still no luck. I did successfully portfoward port 200; canyouseeme.org confirms it, yet, I do not see anyone in the users pane even after I ran the server in Sandboxie....

😟

Nevermind. Tested my server using 127.0.0.1 and confirmed it works. Sorry for the hassle, I'm still new to this. Thank you for all your efforts.

You might have not port forwarded right, go to canyouseeme.org to check if your port is open.

Says "Success!" port is open. I have a question, when I run the server in Sandboxie configured to my no-ip address, is it supposed to show on Darkcomet, or am I supposed to run it on another computer in a different network? The only way I found to make myself show up was to run the server configured to 127.0.0.1 on Sandboxie. Thanks again.

It depends, sometimes it shows up sometimes it doesnt. I know that on my network it shows up.

Did you use a password when you made the server?
If yes, have you typed it into the the client?

* - Brum The Original - Nov 9, 2012

this might be because you used no ip wich is for other people use 127.0.0.1 if you're using it on yourself and then it will show up

No, I did not put a password. I am aware of the glitch...

Thanks! I think I'm starting to understand how this RAT works. If I used my no-ip address and someone runs it, they will show up right? And do I have to be online with Darkcomet open when they run the server in order for the slave to show up?

im sorry to say but the port that you opened is the wrong one. the real one is port 1604 so try that.
