Pen tool doesnt let me choose a selected part. It just gives me a 3 line thing.

Right-Click in the just made pen-selection and click make selection and press okay.
Than just go to the move tool (be sure that your selected area (text) is converted to pixels)
and hit the arrows.

or he can just press "ENTER" like i said, and if you still having troubles just PM i will try my best to explain it better.
