New to designing websites! What Program, what websites can help? - huManipulator - Nov 22, 2012 I'm interested in some kinda of drag/drop program for websites, or an easy lesson in wordpress, or something of the sort. I have about 15 websites I need up, some are just one pager Landing pages, and a couple are more in depth, one e commerce, and one vbull forum (I have license). Also what should I look into for hosting, that is reliable, not stolen, nor will my content be stolen. * - isoccerpro - Nov 22, 2012 www.w3schools.com is a really good place to start. If you want a website where you can actually try the coding as you learn, I'd recommend www.codeacademy.com. In my opinion, it's so easy to learn HTML/CSS, if I were you i'd just learn it, rather than a drag/drop program. The hosting I use is bluehost. I use it because it's reliable, somewhat cheap, and comes with some cool features. Hope this helps! * - SawCyanic - Nov 22, 2012 There's a nice program called wordpad, or notepad. There aren't many WYSIWYG editors anymore. Dreamweaver is a huge mindfuck, and so are most of the other ones. Hand coding is much more satisfying anyway. * - Wigan - Nov 22, 2012 Get on W3Schools or thenewboston.org and learn html, css and you can then progress from their, I also recommend you use Notepad++ (Avoid drag and drop tools, they are usually poor and limited.) * - huManipulator - Nov 22, 2012 Thanks for all the help you guys I still am looking for morehelp thank you! * - WienerNips - Nov 22, 2012 Notepad ++, but if you really want a program, go with Dreamweaver. * - Sphynx - Nov 22, 2012 Use netbeans http://netbeans.org/ it can help you out if its your first time and its FREE |
