Got access to QNAP network appliance in school - Schoeee - Nov 29, 2012 Well basically me and a friend found a way into the schools network host via internal network links. We access the home page and login with the username Admin and password Admin. We have access to everything on the schools servers, all files and have administrator access on everything. Now I was just wondering, IF we do get caught, what could the consequences be? I mean, the schools IT staff shouldn't have a password the same as the username for a starter. There's a lot of security flaws within our schools computer network and me and my friend are always the ones to come across it but usually end up in trouble for trying to help them and make it more secure. If any sneaky people are here on HF, what should we do with this information? Download it all onto an external hard-drive and look at it all at home? We think we can only access it from school computers but going to try turning on the cloud service to see if we can connect from home, through tor of course. What else could we do with this information? Thanks guys! * - AAA+ - Nov 29, 2012 (Nov 29, 2012 10:00 AM)Schoeee Wrote: Well basically me and a friend found a way into the schools network host via internal network links. Save everything on a External HDD then read all the answers for everything. You pass school with A+. * - Schoeee - Nov 29, 2012 I doubt that would work since we take GCSE's which are completely random and we have no idea unless someone fancies hacking edexcel for me -.- * - DaNet - Nov 29, 2012 What you're risking ? I have been sent in court for school hacking, but a lot of people just had a temporar kick (1 week), so i guess that i'm not lucky. * - Schoeee - Nov 29, 2012 Not much, staff and IT tech are pretty dumb at my school. One of the IT teachers caught me on the panel sneaking up behind me and just thought it was some random crap and told me to close it aha! * - Schoeee - Dec 1, 2012 What else can I do? Anyone? I will try anything and post proof if must! * - amus3d - Dec 1, 2012 I'd like to see proof. Download the contents onto a external hard drive and look through it, that's about all you can do. * - yellowhathacker - Dec 1, 2012 did your school administration noticed it or not,,or you get caught or screwed them did your school administration noticed it or not,,or you get caught or screwed them * - Schoeee - Dec 1, 2012 Sure thing, I shall try on Monday, I doubt I have a hard drive big enough, it's the whole schools files, could take forever, but I shall try! * - WinA - Dec 1, 2012 Just don't get caught and deny all accusations |
