"Another" Anime Review - Mikasa - Dec 10, 2012

Something wicked is haunting classroom the local junior high school. And it’s killing off the students in classroom 3-3 one by one. Transfer student Kouichi Sakakibara makes it his goal to figure out what's going on and what all this has to do with the mysterious Misaki Mei.

Much more would spoil the story that Another tries to tell. This anime is really unique.

Have you even wondered how it looks when people get stabbed through the throat by an umbrella? Have you ever wondered how the cruel acts of horror movies will be in a anime?

The Animation in "Another" Is simply awesome. There is this cold feeling and the feeling that you know something is about to happen during the whole series. The animators haven't been on the lazy side on this anime at all.

The sound in "Another" is another thing that is really important when it comes to horror. I can't describe how important sound is in a horror movie, and i must say that "Another" obviously also know this. There is always those small and scary sounds, the sounds that makes you freak out and you just know thats something about to happend.

The characters in this anime is simply confusing. However, this is the point of this anime. You always have this doubt in you and there is always something you're wondering about when it comes to the characters. You can feel that there is something that the characters is hiding and you really want to know what it is.

Personally, i think this anime is a must watch. The anime is something different from what we usually see in today's anime and i really enjoyed it. If you haven't watched this yet, then you really should.

This series was in my to watch list and also already downloaded to my HDD but because of this review I am going to start watching it now ^^

This sentence got my attention: "Personally, i think this anime is a must watch. The anime is something different from what we usually see in today's anime and i really enjoyed it. If you haven't watched this yet, then you really should."

The anime was ok, but the ending was really bad, the person was someone who was barely shown in the anime and was just a stupid choice.

I loved this anime a lot, don't get me wrong. I just wish that there was a TINY bit more romantic development.
I mean for godsakes, the only character that did show romantic development got killed off by the end of the damn thing. [IN the anime version anyway, in the manga she lives <3]

A very simple difference really, this is a horror thriller not a romance.

Nice review man, surprised so many people here haven't watched this one.
I was thinking of reading the novel as well, but sadly it hasn't been translated.

Yes. I'm fully fucking aware of that. I wasn't asking for there to be a huge element added to it. I just thought it would of been cool if the relationship with Mei and MC wasn't so vague, that's all.
When I see a character I really love, it's only natural to want to see her in love.

Just watched this anime recently and it was pretty good, I don't normally watch the suspense type anime but
the story in this one was cool. I remember the anime kept surprising me like holy shit that guy just died lol
