WebDisk Access as a Local Drive - zosoftnet - Jan 12, 2013 For Read / Write...I want to program an app. It will mount a virtual drive as your local drive. It will access your FTP/SFTP WebDrive/Disk, you will be able to store files and edit them right away from your PC.... Please give any suggestion, feature to be added, Theme Designed, etc will be appreciated...... * - 0xDEAD10CC - Jan 12, 2013 Folder drive mapping, and the rest is just simple file structure syncing... How can people give suggestions when they don't even know where you stand on this? * - zosoftnet - Jan 12, 2013 It is not possible to do Explicit FTP over TLS proof me. I used to do that on my previous host, now I moved to ResellerClub hosting, they don't allow normal FTPing.... Thanks... * - 0xDEAD10CC - Jan 12, 2013 (Jan 12, 2013 06:59 AM)zosoftnet Wrote: It is not possible to do Explicit FTP over TLS proof me. What the heck are you on?... 🤨 You're like someone that just likes to talk to himself and doesn't post anything relevant in reply to the previous post. How does this have an ounce of similarity in comparison to what I was talking about in my first post to this thread? My motivation to making an attempt at helping you even with what i've seen in your previous threads has now been reduced to nothing again. You don't make any sense. I'll let some other fool help you... * - DragonHunter - Jan 12, 2013 Depends how easy you wanna have it 1. Download a program :P 2. Create your own driver 3. Use folders but that's not a virtual drive * - 0xDEAD10CC - Jan 12, 2013 (Jan 12, 2013 07:28 AM)AnguisCaptor Wrote: Depends how easy you wanna have it He was generous enough to give you a few options... I would say that mapping a folder to a drive letter (as I've mentioned), is probably the easiest way. Enumerate the drive letters for a list of possible letters to use. Creating your own driver is much more complex to be able to create a virtual drive here. Downloading a program will work too, but that's kind of silly lol! I tried once to mount my own device drive for ISO file's to be mounted. This requires the interpretation of the UDF filesystem (what I seen for the ISO's I have) so that when your device drive is mounted you can imitate the data structure on the "disk" which was virtually mounted to it's own drive and assigned a letter. Now if you were to go the folder mapping way... This would simple. You may end up with something of a dropbox like program, that checks based on intervals (what I would do personally), or use a FileSystemWatcher... Or Sync manually. The rest is up to you. Without knowing what you want suggestions or feedback on though it's a bit hard to reply to this thread. How do we know what features we can suggest to be added without knowing what has already been added? Perhaps you should think that through a bit more to see why you may not be getting the responses you were hoping for in this thread? * - zosoftnet - Jan 14, 2013 I am only able to access ftpes:// .. try it out if you can access my anonymous ftp user..ftpes://ftp.zosoftnet.com !!! Network Mapping won't just work.. !! I even tried out with WebDrive..Does not work.. * - 0xDEAD10CC - Jan 14, 2013 (Jan 14, 2013 03:29 AM)zosoftnet Wrote: I am only able to access ftpes:// .. try it out if you can access my anonymous ftp user..ftpes://ftp.zosoftnet.com !!! You're an idiot...Do you have any comprehension? (You've failed to prove it more than just this time here.) Where did I say anything about Network mapping? 🤨 In fact, when did anyone say anything about that in this thread? I do remember saying "Folder" mapping though.
