To New Members Asking Or Hinting For Rep & Tho's Giving It - Natas - Jan 21, 2013 I just had to let this out because every time a new member joins and does this I try to explain this and then the member ends up with a 15-20 random rep and the post with my reply gets deleted... First of all making threads like this are stupid. ![]() Some member just joined and made that thread minutes ago he was able to make 12 rep profit from it. Now think about this. Why the fuck would you want rep when you first join other then to post or reply in the market place. Witch would mean your interested in either buying or selling to the HF community ! If the poster of threads like the one I showed above were smart enough they could of searched this and seen this happen many times before. And it is against the rules they would probably of seen that they some how get away with it and every one who trys and make things right and not let them just get rep by hinting or asking for it is automatically described as a low quality member or a member who abuses there powers. Well I can say giving a member rep for doing somthing on this forum that they shouldn't be doing is not right ! They are giving a member encourage to be doing somthing wrong ! They are giving member rep for breaking the rules what I wonder is do they see this at all ? I think a uber giving rep to some one who is breaking the rules, Doing somthing that they shouldn't be doing is even more low quality and is abusing there powers more then a uber who is taking away rep from a user who is getting a lot of rep by asking. Or even a uber who is -reping some one for breaking the rules. By giving them rep when they didn't earn any before is letting them enter the market place were all deals are held ! And you sit there and fucking wonder why there are so many scams here on HF ! Because you idiots are giving trust to people who don't deserve or earned it ! On that same fucking thread here is a reply from another new member =/ ![]() Another ![]() This is getting allowed members are getting away with it and its happening more and more often. If you still do not quite understand new members doing this and upgraded members giving rep to new members who are doing this. THERE IS A REASON WHY YOU NEED REP TO GO INTO THE MARKET PLACE AND POST THERE IS A REASON WHY IT IS AGAINST THE RULES TO POST AND ASK OR HINT FOR REP. THERE IS A REASON WHY YOU SHOULDN'T GIVE REP TO PEOPLE WHO ARE DOING THIS. Now if new members would read omnis message when they would of joined they would and should have read the rules before even posting. So when they are making thease threads they are actually breaking to rules at one time and gaining the chance to go to the market place and scam. Well all you know it can be a multi accounter coming here making threads like this to get rep and go scam in the market place. Why should you just get that opprutunity ? If omni wanted every one to just be able to post in the market place with out earning rep first he would just change the fucking settings in the acp for any one can post there with or with out rep. I can go on and on about this and show how theres been multi accounter scammers that became new members and show a bunch of scam reports that were caused by regular members bust this is quite irritating and I am done discussing this. All I can say is if you want HF to be full of scammers and members with rep they gained by breaking the rules go ahead keep doing it im out. But you just wanted to get it off your chest I assume? * - Vlad1k - Jan 21, 2013 Just report such members and they will get a rep fuck/warning. * - ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) - Jan 21, 2013 Calm down bro, rep is just a number... :) * - Nyonic - Jan 21, 2013 I think every member who does that should be repfuck(or have it removed), since they didnt earn that rep. I also dislike those type of threads * - Natas - Jan 21, 2013 (Jan 21, 2013 10:07 PM)Hуѕтєяιa X™ Wrote: And this thread won't change a thing. People will always abuse rep no matter what. Not only that but now when new members do this and then idiots give them rep for breaking the rules and hinting or asking for it and then when I -rep the new member and I am called abusive or "Low Quality' or if I see it happen around the forum or to some one else I will make sure to go ahead and link the misunderstood member right to this thread for I don't have to go off explaining all this every day, also yes I really wanted to get this off my chest. Its more the thought of new members being able to break the rules and get away with it and not only that but to actually get push overs to give them rep. And it doesn't stop there because when a member does the right thing and gives bad rep to a member who is breaking the rules they get called low quality, & abusive. Yes I think any member who gives rep to some one who is asking for rep should be rep fucked they are faulting the system by eliminating the way the market place works how you need to have good rep to have discussion or make a thread in the market place. It could be a multi accounter who has been here for years scamming and then once the account gets banned just comes here makes a new account and asks for rep again. * - Mimix - Jan 21, 2013 simple answer for this: just repfuck those that is asking for +rep haha:) * - Jemjem787 - Jan 21, 2013 I Agree with this, opens up doors for scammers. * - Pops - Jan 21, 2013 (Jan 21, 2013 10:09 PM)Subotai Wrote: Calm down bro, rep is just a number... :) Rep is just a number... So if I was to -3 you, you woulnt care. * - #Skyline - Jan 21, 2013 I've seen so much of this Is there a report option, for this? EDIT : ooo wait :d you can report these thread for rep abuse I believe * - Natas - Jan 21, 2013 (Jan 21, 2013 11:39 PM)#Skyline Wrote: I've seen so much of this Yes but if you look when this thread was posted all the images of posts I got were from only one thread. the thread got 40 replies and still isn't closed hours later and most the time thease kind of threads don't get closed are looked at as not a big deal the thread is still open the guy who posted it still has about 15 rep he got from his thread just for hinting for it. And all the people who gave it to him for asking for it didn't get any trouble we can just hope he isnt a multi accounter if he is he is probley going to scam and get banned in a years time and then come back and ask for rep again and get right back in the market place with no problem. * - Stuie - Jan 22, 2013 (Jan 21, 2013 11:36 PM)Pops Wrote: Rep is just a number... So if I was to -3 you, you woulnt care. You sir have a great point. On topic: I think everyone should be rep fucked or have their rep reset if they're willingly asking for rep. * - Dubai - Jan 22, 2013 I agree with you. Not by sucking up, but because 4+ rep was much harder to earn then saying oh yea "how do i get rep" when it's clearly stated in the concept. I saw this exact post too.. * - Hуѕтєяιa X™ - Jan 22, 2013 Threads about rep should just be banned all together. That would be the best solution, you never see a good thing come from them, why have them? They provoke gang rep, flame and hate. * - Dubai - Jan 22, 2013 (Jan 22, 2013 01:52 AM)Natha Wrote: I have to say, those 2010 days were the fun days in the lounge.
