How to hide folders well? - ryoh - Jan 30, 2013

Don't know where section this belongs. If it is in the wrong section, please move it.
Trying to find a really good method to hide folders...
I am pretty sure I saw this method that you bind a picture and a Win-Rar file together, and you open the file with Win-Rar to open your things? How do I do that?
Also, what are some other good methods to hide folders?

Visually? Make a desktop folder, change the icon to an invalid image, and rename it to the Alt-code space character. It'll be invisible on your desktop.

And make it so if someone goes to Users>Ryan>Desktop they can't see the folder.

There are a lot of tutorials on Youtube for this that work easily.

Download some random .jar.
Open the .jar in Winrar.
Delete all files in the jar, put the files you want.
No body will suspect a jar file to have stuff in it.

Just make the file invisible.

Make a new folder.
Right click it and click "Properties"
You should see this: [Image: HNzi5dX.png]
Check off "Hidden"

Now, when you want to see it do the following.

Go to Control Panel> Folder Options> "View" Tab> [Image: 6kOdtgc.png]

Have fun hiding your files!

Make a bunch of folders then a text document to download with a password then that has a download of a bunch of files and u only know which one it is.

That's smart...I did the one with the WinRar. I think it'll work pretty well. It works as both a folder and a working picture.

For starters label your porn folders something clever. Second, put the folder inside of another folder.
For example- Music-Samples-Wav Files-Porn. < That's how mine is. Not kidding.

I hide mine is my system32 folder. There's a fuck load of folders in there, so just make one called some bullshit name like:
SystematicControlParser then just put your porn there...

I don't see any other reason to get very into depth of hiding folders 😅

But seriously, you should just put folder into folder. Keeps my desktop neat.

I have nothing on my desktop but my Recycle Bin...

Label them appropriately and put them in any kind of folder you can :P

You'd end up deleting it one day where you don't think about it, I'm talking from experience lol..
