Remote Locked Iphone 4s - How to Unlock? - Das_Virus - Feb 11, 2013
This is my problem:
My friend found a iPhone 4s somewhere in a club, he asked around whos the owner but he could not find him. So he decided to keep it by himself, i know this is not the right way of doing it, but this is his problem.
So he asked me if i could restore the device for him so he can use it, now the problem is that the iPhone is locked remotely.
I am able to crack the iPhones Passcode (with the 4 digits), also i know how to downgrade or jailbreak devices, but i never tryed to unlock a remotely locked device.
So if anyone knows how to do this it would be very great to share his knowledge.
I tryed to boot into DFU and it worked, but i have no valid SHSH Blob so i cant downgrade to a older version of iOS, idk what version is installed, i guess its 6.0-6.1
So i googled some stuff and got to the app "evasi0n" which can jailbreak 6.0-6.1
I tryed it oud but it says the iPhone is locked with a Passkey (but its not, its remotely locked so i cant do anything).
Also i cant do anything with the newest version of redsn0w...
So does anyone know what I can do know to get this device up and running?

It's impossible to unlock it unless you've got a password to the iTunes account.

Is there any way to get straight access to the HD inside the iPhone to simply delete everything and then do a fresh new iOS installation?

Edid2: If anyone will ever have the same issue, i will post what i have done so far, till now i did NOT get the device unlocked.
I played around with tiny umbrella and redsn0w in combination with iTunes and the hosts file. Always getting errors like "This device is not eligable" or something, also iTunes Error Code 11.
Im testing this with iOS IPSW Version 6.1 for iPhone 4S
So for now, i entered Recovery Mode, that enables me to get the SHSH Blob if i uncheck the "Request SHSH from Cydia" box in tiny umbrella and after downloading the 6.1 IPSW with iTunes.
So now i will try to restore the device with redsn0w and the SHSH i got, will see if this will work :/
HAHA YEAH I GOT IT WORKING NOW!!!!
Its actually realy simple to unlock a remotely locked idevice.. Just downloaded the 6.1 IPSW, then started into DFU and opened up the latest redsn0w Version. From there goto Extras->Even more->Restore
Then choose the IPSW File, choose remote Blobs and BOOM.
The rest is done automatically, the iPhone was restored to 6.1 and now i can use it :)

Is it truly possible to remotely hack and unlock a JPay prison tablet? I have been seeing a few people touting the service, but it sounds schetchie.
