Best Way To Protect From DDoS? - iCub™ - Feb 15, 2013 Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is in the right section, so I apologize in advanced if it is. Anyways, I have a question that I'm still searching for an answer to. Whats the BEST way to counter DDoS attacks or protect against them? I know a VPN is somewhat good, but I'm not too confident in any VPN to withhold from a 4+gb/s DDoS from some powerful booter. Anyone with any ideas or sure-fire ways to protect, please share!! Thanks, Sully * - Gustav. - Feb 15, 2013 Contact your ISP on DDos attacks & ask for a new IP.. And instead of using free VPN's, try paying for a very secure one like nVPN... * - iCub™ - Feb 16, 2013 (Feb 15, 2013 02:28 PM)ItsZeus Wrote: Contact your ISP on DDos attacks & ask for a new IP..I love nVPN, never use a free VPN, EVER haha but thanks for the suggestion * - hiraeth. - Feb 17, 2013 Try buying DDoS protection if you have the money, or if you know some people, get someone to do it for free for you. * - Gustav. - Feb 17, 2013 (Feb 16, 2013 05:20 PM)Sully™ Wrote: I love nVPN, never use a free VPN, EVER haha but thanks for the suggestion It's worth buying it mate, trust me 🤝 * - iCub™ - Feb 18, 2013 (Feb 17, 2013 07:48 AM)ItsZeus Wrote: It's worth buying it mate, trust me 🤝 I have, but I'm not getting DDosed much, just was kinda curious :P * - ℓιикℓαи¢є - Aug 18, 2013 If you have a static ip then you will have to contact your isp to get it changed. * - ѕтepн - Aug 18, 2013 Download comodo firewall, this is the best :3 * - Demodulates - Aug 19, 2013 I Was Getting IP Flooded Just Right Now ... Use skype wisely, search for Skype Resolver Preventing tutorials. * - Blazin - Aug 21, 2013 The best method not to get d-dossed is never expose your real IP address. That means if you are using skype etc make sure you are on a vpn 24/7. If your server is under attack there is a few things you can do changing the IP for one, setting up multiple ip addresses and when one gets d-dossed have a script add the other ip the network card. Firewalls configured accordingly to help combat ddos. |
