New Skype Tool - Opinions/Ideas/Suggestions wanted - Ever0n - Mar 3, 2013 I'm currently taking a course at college in software development so I want to hone my coding skills so as a small project I've decided to make a Skype Tool as a form of practice. I know there are a bunch of them already out there but I want to make one that doesn't always crash and actually has a bunch of cool features. All I need to know right now if there is anything specific that you guys/girls would want to see in a new Skype tool. I've got a bunch of features already sorted out and most of them coded which I'll list below. Any opinions would be great and if I can get everything sorted out quick enough I'll probably be releasing a beta version in a week or so. I'm going to be calling it HazMat, if anyone has any better ideas I'm open for suggestion but unless its awesome, HazMat will probably stick. Here are the features I have already coded or intend to:
I've been toying with the idea of including a Skype Resolver but at the moment I'm not sure, all the ones I've been using as far seem to be on and off with their functionality and the cheapest API I've seen so far is $12 a year, so I'll be considering this but it isn't a definitive feature. Anymore ideas would be appreciated. Thanks 🙂 * - Yui Asuna - Mar 3, 2013 Why the point of this ? Oh yeah, another awesome Skype Tool. My heart is full of happiness. It's the best day of my life, like if Tweety asked to be my wife (Still waiting, darling :( ) No, seriously, post it when you are done if you want, but WHEN YOU ARE DONE, not before ! * - Ever0n - Mar 3, 2013 I'm looking just mainly for suggestions or ideas for features people want. * - Yui Asuna - Mar 3, 2013 You understand that your program isn't unique, right ? So try to think outside the box ? Even it will probably be hard, because it's just a useless skype tool, but, who knows ? * - Ever0n - Mar 3, 2013 Yeah I know there are floods of Skype tools, that was the idea to think outside the box and add something that actually makes it different and reasonably useful as hard as that might be. * - shock_y0 - Mar 3, 2013 very pointless. i can do this all with skype. why i need an extra program? * - Ever0n - Mar 3, 2013 (Mar 3, 2013 02:16 PM)shock_y0 Wrote: very pointless. You can't create fake quotes in Skype nor can you effectively spam message/call users as far as I'm aware and like I said, for me this is mostly just for practice and learning. * - ИYYИ - Mar 3, 2013 There are already enough skype tools. * - SunFaker - Mar 4, 2013 Nice idea with quote faker :). I have intress! * - Vincent1468 - Mar 4, 2013 You could make a feature where your Skype tool automaticly responds to messages that are send to the user. For example if someone says 'hey' to you, the Skype tool replies with 'Hey! This an automatic response!' Also, could you send me the source of the quote generator? I'm intrested in seeing how that works. * - Ever0n - Mar 4, 2013 (Mar 4, 2013 06:24 AM)Vincent1468 Wrote: You could make a feature where your Skype tool automaticly responds to messages that are send to the user. The other idea for this is to help others learn, when it is finished the source for everything will be released, so far I'm also commenting near enough every line so that when people do go through it they understand what each line of code actually does. * - Vincent1468 - Mar 4, 2013 (Mar 4, 2013 08:06 AM)Ever0n Wrote: The other idea for this is to help others learn, when it is finished the source for everything will be released, so far I'm also commenting near enough every line so that when people do go through it they understand what each line of code actually does. That's very nice to hear, do you already have a release date? * - heartbreaker - Mar 4, 2013 1. i think u can add some type of chat emotion pic which is very help chaating 2. two step verification when some one open his id user got a message on his /her mobile with confirmation code and then after applying with that code open his id * - Kasic - Mar 4, 2013 Auto Talk Auto Reply Mass Message * - Ever0n - Mar 4, 2013 (Mar 4, 2013 08:33 AM)Vincent1468 Wrote: That's very nice to hear, do you already have a release date? Not yet, its more of a project I'm working on among college and work. Depending on the complexity of some the features people recommend I shouldn't think longer than a week. |
