[disc] darkcomet vs. poison ivy - 5n4p - Mar 11, 2013 I remember the days of using pre-compiled programs - Poison Ivy/Sub 7 and a bunch of other simple and fun trojans/rats. Nowadays I hear of darkcomet/blackshades - and various others. Why would you suggest these newer alternatives? To my understanding they all still need to be crypted anyways. What are your thoughts? * - Hidden™ - Mar 11, 2013 I do not think that either is worse or better than the other. Each one has it's own unique functions but, each one has a specific job to fulfill. Rat's would be for total control of a computer. Keyloggers on the other hand, would be soley for keys. Stealers, would be just taking data in one big swoop. * - 5n4p - Mar 11, 2013 Right - but I haven't played around with the newer applications floating around. I am obviously too busy to code my own from the ground up and all the headaches involved. So I was just curious if there was any new/serious breakthroughs over the years with these newer alternatives. Everything just seems more mainstream now xD * - Terry A. Davis - Mar 11, 2013 I'd go for Dark Comet to be honest 🤝 * - d0to - Mar 11, 2013 DarkComet and BlackShades are still "precompiled". The best free one is DarkComet (not the new legacy one). * - Bohemia - Mar 11, 2013 I have been using Dark comet for a while and havent had any problem and also dark comet is good alternative because its servers can be crypted easily while once using poison I had problems crypting it. But my opinions is Dark comet is the best free RAT available! |
