Windows Security Center disabled strange issue - we1rd0 - Mar 16, 2013 I seem to have this problem quit a long time. I hope i can explain it to you cause it looks a bit strange to me. I am using Spybot S&D and it has detected Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter_disabled. After i repaired it and everything seemed clean, i runned darkcomet remover. It also detected the same problem. I also removed it from there. Thinking everything was ok now as darkcomet found nothing on next scan i runned a scan with Spybot that detected the exact same problem. So the issue here is that when i repair the problem with one program it apperas in the other. Should i worry and what should i do? * - Predator_Crack - Mar 16, 2013 Hello. First of all regardless the alert that are showed by antivirus-antimalware software that you have installed, you need to make sure that the security center is really disabled. Go to your windows services and try to enabled that. If you get any error please post the exact error here. If you don't get any errors, then go check the actual security center that will be enabled. It will give you error on top (above the windows update, antivirus, firewall STATUS). As long as nothing works and you need to enable the security center service but you cannot, do the following: - type in the search box : services.msc and press enter (it must be performed in the administrator account or run the Services.msc as admin) - on the services list, you need to find the security center service as i stated above previously. - Select that and double click or right click and go to it's properties. - Click to STOP and then select DISABLED as startup type. After that click apply and restart your computer. After the restart, do the same but this time choose AUTOMATIC startup type and click START to start the service. Click apply and restart. Post results please. * - we1rd0 - Mar 16, 2013 i 've checked for the windows security status the first time a found this issue.. like now everything seems to be working.. firewall and everything is ON except NAP that is OFF. This is the reason this problem seemed strange to me.. * - we1rd0 - Mar 20, 2013 so i suppose as i didnt get any other answer i shouldn't worry? |
