[Preview] Theme Database - Its Cheefin Again - Mar 31, 2013 So yesterday I decided to create a theme database because I thought it would help me practice. Here is the final product. Features: - Add Theme - Report Theme - Copy to Clipboard - Save .vb Add Theme: This allows you to add a theme to the Theme Database. Pretty self explanatory. Report Theme: You can report a theme to have it removed. These are the report reasons you can choose from. - Creator of theme and want it removed. - Theme is a paid theme and should be removed. - Code does not work. - Image is broken. - Other. Screenshots: Main Form (Click to View) Report Theme (Click to View) Add Theme (Click to View) I know a lot of Theme Databases have been made before. This was mainly for my own use and my own practice. If you think this would be useful then I will release it. Just post below. * - Le Spy - Mar 31, 2013 This looks nice, I really like it. A lot of other theme databases don't have the features that you integrated into yours. Can't wait for a release OP. * - Tedd - Mar 31, 2013 It just doesn't have the functionality of other theme databases yet. Although it is a great start and does have a pretty neat layout, I wouldn't release it just yet. Try adding things like tags (so themes can be tagged for example dark, light, red, animation, etc), or maybe more info about the theme, like # of downloads, release date, support url (like the thread url), theme bases (because i know that a lot of themes rely on aeonhack's theme bases), and just stuff like that before you release it. * - Its Cheefin Again - Mar 31, 2013 (Mar 31, 2013 09:37 AM)Tedd Wrote: It just doesn't have the functionality of other theme databases yet. Yeah I am planning on making a rating feature, search feature, downlaod etc. Thanks for the suggestions. * - Hawk HF - Mar 31, 2013 I'm disappointed to see that none of my themes are on there. I guess I'll have to add them. ;) I like the idea, but the GUI is very basic for such a good project. * - Its Cheefin Again - Mar 31, 2013 (Mar 31, 2013 11:26 AM)HΛWK Wrote: I'm disappointed to see that none of my themes are on there. Yeah definitely when I release it feel free to add all of your themes. :P And I wanted to keep the GUI simple. I might try to advance it a little bit. * - Sleazy P. Martini - Mar 31, 2013 Looks pretty good. Whens a estimated release date? * - Its Cheefin Again - Mar 31, 2013 (Mar 31, 2013 11:39 AM)September Wrote: Looks pretty good. Soon, most likely in the next few days. Just need to add a few more things to make it fully functional and practical. * - ScΛrƒΛc3_ - Mar 31, 2013 Love the idea. This would be a really nice release. Good work! * - ๖ۣۜMephobia - Mar 31, 2013 It's good to see my themes in there, however, there are so many databases out there, and most of them aren't even used at all. I suggest you simply have the program connect to a online database/text file and read the parts off of there. Example (In online text file): Code THEMENAME :: PREVIEW IMAGE LINK :: CREATOR :: PASTEBIN RAW SOURCE LINKThen the program reads that information and loads it in the program. The same can be done with a database. If someone wants to submit something, just have it go through you first so you can add it. * - Its Cheefin Again - Mar 31, 2013 (Mar 31, 2013 12:50 PM)๖ۣۜMephobia Wrote: It's good to see my themes in there, however, there are so many databases out there, and most of them aren't even used at all. Then it reads the text file and imports it into the listview. * - Marketplace - Mar 31, 2013 There has been like a lot of these threads very similar to this and they never got released. If you don't release it then I'll make one and actually release it. I don't want to make it now because I don't want to ruin your hard work on the program :) |
