Question: Is java crackable/reversed engineer? - Chrissy Costanza - Apr 4, 2013

Okay here's the thing, I would like to make a java program that can manipulate some codes on telnet/cmd on the background and I want to hide this codes from the user.

Is there a way for users to reverse engineer/crack a java program to obtain those telnet/cmd commands?

Any language can be reverse engineered or cracked if the person knows what they are doing.

Yes, Java isn't that difficult to reverse, it's easier than .NET...

One of the most easiest language to reverse if not the easiest

As others have said, Java is easy to reverse engineer. The thing is, is it's not a limitation if handled correctly. Just obfuscate your code so it's a little harder to understand, encrypt everything, etc.

If I was to create a package that did a magical calculation on a variable, such as
Code
import.custom.magical.calculation; being my custom package

final byte amountOfPizza = 10;
double amountOfMagicalPizza = magical.calculation(amountOfPizza);

The normal java api wouldn't understand my custom package and the class magical.calculation apart of said package.

When the jvm coverts to bytecode and runs from My machine with the custom package installed, my machine knows what to do.

If I was to move this to another machine, it wouldn't as it couldn't find the package custom.

To get around this, the creation of a .jar file is needed.

This is a really rough demo, iv'e obviously missed out the layout, syntax and headers. I've just recently learned this and i could be completely wrong, If so could you show me where.

What is the best program then that is hard to crack?

You could always obfuscate it with something like progaurd, it will turn your code into basically gibberish.

Or even better with ZKM. The trial runs fine too.

Like redpois0n said, it probably is one of the easiest languages to crack. That's why many people don't release their Java projects here because they just get cracked and the code gets stolen or leaked.

All software gets. Any software/plugin/thing I release here in Java will not be "protected"; just pay then get url.
