Character/Text Recognition in VB.Net? - KØRRUPT - Apr 7, 2010 Hey HF :D I am looking for a Character or Text recognition source to read a line of text from an image. I had seen a tutorial on HF about it before using Microsoft Word API or something, but failed to find it while searching :(. Basically, a screenshot of the users desktop will be given like so: Spoiler (Click to View) And then I would want it to get the 'blank' (any other text recognised doesn't matter, as long as 'blank' is found). So can anyone help me out? I know it is most likely a complicated procedure but a push in the right direction would be a lot of help :D Thanks. * - paquiton96 - May 30, 2015 Though there are places where you can buy OCR code, it is very expnsive, so I recommend you to try Tesseract OCR from google, it's free and there is a good documentation that explains how to implement it in visual basic. * - Incorporate - May 30, 2015 (May 30, 2015 04:05 PM)paquiton96 Wrote: Though there are places where you can buy OCR code, it is very expnsive, so I recommend you to try Tesseract OCR from google, it's free and there is a good documentation that explains how to implement it in visual basic.
