how to save login details in vpn config? - procortex - Jun 20, 2013

Hello guys,

I'm using nvpn which uses openvpn to connect. We have to enter login details manually everytime while connecting, Is there any way to save the username and password directly inside the config files?

thnx

What did you do to fix this? Just add your credentials to the cert file?

1. Create a txt file in config folder name it what ever you want ex. 'pass.txt'
2. Put your user/pass inside the file in two lines, like:

Code
username
password

3. Then save it.
4. open up your .ovpn file in notepad and add:

Code
auth-user-pass pass.txt

5. save and connect to your openvpn server.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. I use Nvpn once in a while and having to type that user/pass in every time is a small pita ;-)
