Convert a Video to Animated GIF with NO watermarks!
"A group of respected individuals that don't necessarily set out to impress, but to set an example."

In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to convert a video file to an animated GIF. Very simple to use.

1. Download the Free Video to GIF Converter (Windows.) It's a direct link to the exe file.

2. Install the program, then launch it.

3. Find a video file you want to use. The program accepts .mp4, .avi, .flv, .mov, .wmv and .3gp files. I'm going to use a YouTube video and DVDVideoSoft to download the video.

4. In the program, browse to your desired video on the computer.

5. Specify the time that you're going to be converting into a GIF. Try to be as specific as possible, so you don't have to delete many frames later. You can also adjust the width, height and framerate in this menu. The bigger and higher the FPS is, the bigger the filesize is, but better the image will come out.

6. On the next menu, remove any frame that you don't want in the GIF. Click "remove" for any frame you don't want (you can hold down the Enter key to remove many frames at a time, just don't remove frames you want!)

7. Once you're satisfied, click "Make GIF," name it and choose where to save it. Give the program some time and it will finish. Browse to where you saved it and upload it to your desired image host.

8. The result:

I'm not the best at this, you can see a couple odd looking frames, but your result will be better with a lot of error checking.
Enjoy!

Very good guide right here for people who like gifs but are not able to create one. I will recommend when someone asks me, thanks for sharing this.

Downloading another program to do this is unnecessary if you already have Photoshop.

Some people don't have Photoshop or don't know how to do it with PS. This is the simple method... I know it's possible with Photoshop. Perhaps I should do a tut with that next time?

Yeah that's probably a good idea considering most of those doing design here have the program.
