For a few years now I have not been able to purchase anything via paypal because I had an account banned with my real name on it. Does anybody know if it is possible for me to buy anything on it anymore? I have a new card number and I can easily just write in another address, but my real name will still be there.

Call them up, give them all your legit info, I am sure if your legit, they will unban.
May I ask, what you get banned for?

If you have a new card you can buy things through auto buy I believe, You can add the card
to Paypal as well on a new account. It is possible they might not know for awhile, you are more
then likely not the only person with the same name.

Make up an alias of your name something close to it but not exact.
Use a new I.P Address.
Clear all your cookies including flash cookies.
Set up a new paypal from that. It might help you out 🙂

Usually once your permanently banned by Paypal, Paypal will tell you they want to part ways in business, and that's it.

I believe they will let you access it after a set amount of time in certain circumstances.

PayPal typically will limit people for 180 days and release funds and the limitation.

Permanent = 180 days, like it says. They gave me permanent limitations 3 times on my account.
