I've come across way to many sites that want your cell phone number so they can send you a text with your verification code. Chatroulette is the most recent.
I have decided I don't want to be forced to give up such personal info anymore.
Can anyone recommend a good site or program (that actually works) that you can use to send/receive SMS texts that you can give to these sites and use to verify your ID without giving out your personal cell?
I've tried sites like Pinger for example, but it doesn't seem to be that reliable.

http://receive-sms-online.com/ is the only one I use and it's pretty good.

Put your country in Afghanistan, they will not be enable to send you a text message.
Works for gmail ;)
