How to repair a tar.gz compressed file? - jamesgates1 - Jul 13, 2013
I recently downloaded a tar.gz backup of a site from a web host and i have now found out that the file is corrupt. Winrar does not have the function to fix these file names and so i am looking for an alternative to fix it.
Thanks, James.

You will have to use Gzip to recover the archive. Find more details here - http://www.urbanophile.com/arenn/coding/gzrt/gzrt.html
