{Tut}How to access files encrypted with SanDisk Secure Access{Tut}||Windows 7|| - 'Cynical - Jul 21, 2013 Have you encrypted something with SanDisk SecureAccess but can't remember the password? Want to recover it? To do this it is really easy.. Make sure you have SanDisk SecureAccess completely closed when you do this!!! Step 1: Open the file Explorer and click the organize button.. Click on Folder and Search options, click on view, then make sure that you can see hidden files Step 2: Go to the MyVaults folder, located in the same location as RunSanDiskSecureAccess_Win.exe. Step 3: In the MyVaults folder go to the folder named as the same thing the vault you want to access is named. Step 4: Open the dmOption.xml file in Notepad or any other word processing program Step 5: Look for where it days DoCrypt"true" and change true to false. Now just save the file. After all of this you will now be able to open the SanDisk protected vault without any password at all If you have any problems just PM me. * - pinkpanther71 - Aug 15, 2013 I'm a new member. I desperately need to know how to access my files on my SanDisk Cruzer with Secure Access. I was a small business owner and had all my important paperwork on the drive and can't remember the password I created two years ago. Could you explain if the process would be the same for Windows 8 as I see you are talking about Windows 7 in the post. * - 'Cynical - Aug 20, 2013 (Aug 15, 2013 01:52 PM)pinkpanther71 Wrote: I'm a new member. I mean the ENTIRE FOLDER, there are some hidden files in it that need to be edited to change the password to the vaults so it is very important that you send me the ENTIRE folder. Also, I would recommend paying 125$ to downgrade to windows 7. * - CrimsonK - Sep 17, 2013 I did it and now the pogram by-pass the password. but the files are still unaccessible. there's no file names , no extensions and they can not be opened. could you please help. * - Vaxorr - Sep 17, 2013 good job bro keep it up and thanks for the efforts -Null 🤝 * - monix - Oct 19, 2013 I have the same issue. I can access the program without the password now but all the files are listed as numbers without file extensions. what do I do??? * - Stefansebastian - Oct 25, 2013 Is someone now actually knowing how to decrybed the files? would be really important. * - Aura - Oct 25, 2013 (Oct 25, 2013 04:18 PM)Stefansebastian Wrote: Is someone now actually knowing how to decrybed the files? would be really important. This thread is dead, you won't receive any updates from the OP I guess. * - DTDev - Dec 11, 2013 I'm currently just trying to get SecureAccess to open the correct Vault. I have two different vaults but only one is displayed. I know the password. I used the OP's post to open and inspect most of the files but I still am unsure of how to get the App to launch with the other Vaults file instead. I still have all the original files associate in the Folder that doesn't get called at initiation of the app. I feel like I'm close, like switching the "control #" or maybe the uid? I really really hope the OP comes back to save me :(. * - 'Cynical - Jan 5, 2014 They patched this. Sorry guys! I can't find another way to get to the files, except actually cracking the hash in which I am incapable of doing.. Again, I am very sorry. * - Reinstate - Jan 5, 2014 Nice guide H4X0R3L1T3. And it sucks that they patched this. * - DTDev - Jan 6, 2014 Damn. I'm holding on to this USB drive like its my life. I hope one day I can unencrypt it. Blah this is depressing. I really wish sandisk would do something for me. * - 'Cynical - Jan 29, 2014 You can still get the encryption key, but I do not know how to decrypt it... Someone in the encrypting section may be able to help! :D * - taurierain - Oct 15, 2017 I don’t have the RunSecureVailt folder. I can’t access the vault. But I do have .dat files of the files that I kept in the Vault. Is there any way I can recover them? |
