[Chrome Extension] HackForums Giveaway | Easily draw winners from member contests! - Gambino - Jul 22, 2013

HackForums Giveaway Extension

I've recently been making a new Google Chrome extension for HackForums. What does it do? It allows easy contest drawing results on the Member Contests forum. The extension checks every page and looks for usernames which get appended to a text area and randomized twice (Once from how ajax works, and another with a randomize function). I've made it removes any duplicate posts.

Additional Features

Blacklists -
  • Don't want certain users to be in your contest? This feature will prevent them from being picked as a winner!

Post after drawing -
  • This feature makes it so you instantly post after you hit "Roll the dice"

Exclude yourself -
  • Prevents you from being a winner of your contest.

Custom message -
  • Allows you to enter the message which will be added to the quick reply. Using %username% will display the winner.

Download it at the Chrome Web Store (HERE)

More updates - I will be adding tons of features in later! Including different types of giveaways.

Tell me if there are any bugs, I've tested it numerous times on three different computers and vmware. I haven't found any bugs yet.

Changelog

1.0.1[Quick fix] - fixed a critical bug which gave inaccurate results.

1.0.0 - Extension released!

I really do love how its an actual CWS App and not a userscript.

Gawds, love it.

Thanks ^.^ I've spent a lot of time coding this.

I was going to do a user-script at first but it's more work.

This looks really useful. I guess I'll have to use it sometime when I have something to giveaway.

Extensions are coded in what? If they are generalized for every browser?
Nice work though.

Nice work though.

It's coded in JavaScript.

I'll probably port it onto other browsers, just not now since I just formatted my PC.
