[REDESIGN]: My personal website. - Zektai - Jul 25, 2013 Hi everybody, Let me make this clear for any staff who come across this thread: I'm not advertising or offering a service with this post, I am just looking for feedback on the functionality and design of my website. Now that's out of the way... I've finally come up with a design that I like for my own website (and hopefully I'll be investing in a top-level domain for my company), and I just wanted to check if anybody came across any errors or had any suggestions to make the website better. The website is www.kanelincoln.tk. Kind regards, Kane. * - aimkeyyy - Jul 25, 2013 The design looks nice, good job. Any mybb themes? * - Zektai - Jul 25, 2013 (Jul 25, 2013 10:38 AM)aimkeyyy Wrote: The design looks nice, good job. Thanks! Are you asking if I MAKE MyBB themes? * - aimkeyyy - Jul 25, 2013 Yes, i'm asking if you make myBB themes. * - Zektai - Jul 25, 2013 (Jul 25, 2013 11:31 AM)aimkeyyy Wrote: Yes, i'm asking if you make myBB themes. Nope, I don't make forum themes. I just do front-end web design, sorry! * - SpheX™ - Jul 25, 2013 Well now everyone has your first name Mr. Kane Lincoln. Dont go to the black hat side or else you will be fucked * - Zektai - Jul 25, 2013 (Jul 25, 2013 12:24 PM)Hype Codes Wrote: Well now everyone has your first name Mr. Kane Lincoln. Keep up the good work! * - Zektai - Jul 25, 2013 (Jul 25, 2013 02:31 PM)thyduke Wrote: Clean design. Keep up the good work! Thanks for the feedback! I like making clean, sleek designs. I want a modern web, not an internet from 2001. * - Jire - Jul 26, 2013 Looks okay. Set a max-width for that message textarea, though. It's not responsive at-all; would be nice to see. * - Zektai - Jul 27, 2013 (Jul 26, 2013 11:19 PM)Jire Wrote: Looks okay. Set a max-width for that message textarea, though. I am currently trying to learn how to make my designs responsive which is why this website isn't responsive at the moment and I completely forgot about max-ing the textarea, thanks for reminding me! * - BlackHatBrony - Jul 27, 2013 Looks pretty good king of a retro design but it's pretty static which for small website for this is fine but could be easy to fix. * - Heizenburg - Jul 27, 2013 Tbh, if I needed a web designer I would not go to a page that looks like that. It's very bland with no immediate attraction images to catch the customers eyes. Experiment with some js scripts and add some slides and a portfolio. 3/10 * - Zektai - Jul 28, 2013 (Jul 27, 2013 03:01 PM)ᴏᴅʏssᴇᴜs Wrote: Tbh, if I needed a web designer I would not go to a page that looks like that. I completely understand where you're coming from, but the reason why I've made the website so simplistic is because when I start designing something to the best of my ability, unless I have a layout or guide as to what the page should look like, I'm such a perfectionist that I can never keep one design. I have made pages in the past which incorporate JavaScript using parallax effects, content sliders, ect. but I continuously kept changing the design. Maybe in the future when I'm a little less fussy I can make a more creative website but for now the minimalistic, direct approach will have to do. Thanks again, though, for the feedback. |
