How to create an invisible folder

1. Create a new folder, but don't change the name yet
[Image: WVAKViH.png]

2. Right click the folder and goto properties, click on the button the arrow is pointing at (Should say something like customization)

3. Click on the button the arrow is pointing at, should say something like change icon

4. Scroll in the icon browser until you find any of the blank icons, select one and click OK.

5. The folder should now have no icon, we are now going to remove the text

6. Right click the folder and click on rename. Turn numlock on and do the following:
Hold ALT and type the following numbers: 0160
When you have done this a blank character should appear.

Congrats, you now have an invisible folder! =)

Nice but I feel hiding files in Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} is safer. If you take CTRL + A where your folder is, it still will be showed.

Found it for a batch.

Code
cls
@ECHO OFF
title Locke

if EXIST "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" goto UNLOCK
if NOT EXIST MyFolder goto MDMyFolde

:CONFIRM
echo Are you sure to lock this folder? (Y/N)
set/p "cho=>"
if %cho%==Y goto LOCK
if %cho%==y goto LOCK
if %cho%==n goto END
if %cho%==N goto END
echo Invalid choice.
goto CONFIRM
:LOCK
ren MyFolder "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
attrib +h +s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
echo Folder locked
goto End
:UNLOCK
echo Enter password to Unlock Your Secure Folde

set/p "pass=>"
if NOT %pass%== SETPASSWORDHERE goto FAIL
attrib -h -s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
ren "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" MyFolde

echo Folder Unlocked successfully
goto End
:FAIL
echo Invalid password
goto end
:MDMyFolder
md MyFolder
echo MyFolder created successfully
goto End
:End

Now use a batch to exe compiler and you're good to go.

Hope this helped.

Can't you just use the function 'hide this folder'?

Ooopsies, sorry for double posting on this thread but just to inform you guys on Windows 8 (im not sure about our OS) if you click REFRESH i've noticed it turns the file icon BLACK so it'd just be a black square as the icon, I thought I'd let you guys know that.
