Life experiences Vs. Life... - PlainKilla - Aug 6, 2013

Sorry not sure where to put this, but I wanted input from others.
I currently find myself in a bit of situation. I love Martial Arts. I currently study Wing Chun. In 2011 I went to China to a Kung Fu academy to train Kung Fu, was planning on staying there for an entire year. After 3 months, I broke my pinkie finger... and was told I needed surgery since it was broken into 3 pieces..

Anyways. After letting my pinkie relax and heal, I continued to train Kung Fu back home. But now I've been really thinking of going back to China for the Academy. My problem is I have a very good Job with an Income of $35,000 - $45,000 a year, and very flexible as well as not much work.

The experience I had in China was amazing, Its hard to describe, but I loved every second there, the Mentality, the Martial Arts, the Spirituality, Culture, and physical fitness. (We trained 8 hours a day 6 days a week).
By going to China for what I would hope be a year or more, I completely lose the opportunities I have right now with this job. There might be a chance I can come back and work at the same thing, but I do not like to think that way just in case.

So if I come back I would be back to square 1 with a minimum paid job until I find something useful. As for money wise, I still have plenty left in a construction investment which will keep building. but I lose that yearly income.

My question is, Is the life experience from going to China worth the lose of opportunity I currently have?

I can imagine how lovely the experience you have in China is like.
However, to me, it is not worth losing you income for that.
I do not want you to accept my answer as a concrete one as your decision might be based on so many factors I am not aware of.
Basically, listen to others' opinions but do not get influenced that much :)
