Dark Comet Error :only one usage of each socket address is normally permitted - piffkush - Aug 8, 2013 I am running dark comet and nvpn. when I go to listen on my port, it gives me this error . Dark Comet Error :only one usage of each socket address is normally permitted My port is open at canyouseeme, even if I close nvpn, it still gives me this error * - Donjett - Aug 8, 2013 This is because the port you are using DC is used by somethng else ! Change or portforward another port ! Or find the thing that uses the port and fix it ! Btw you got also neg rep from amon of diamond vpn ? Mee too he is really a shit member ! * - piffkush - Aug 8, 2013 (Aug 8, 2013 05:00 PM)Donjett Wrote: This is because the port you are using DC is used by somethng else ! I ran a test using port 81 nothing else is using my port(that I know of).... Here is the funny thing I use public wifi, then use nvpn to go online and what not. But from what I understand, port 81 should only be active if DC is listening on that port, but I cant find what would use that port. here is my netstat pasted in pastebin http://pastebin.com/ksGJSrRQ and I think amon is a cop, but thats another story * - Business - Aug 8, 2013 If you are running another program on that same port, Dark Comet will not be able to use it. * - System Failure - Jan 6, 2016 Run your computer in Safe-Mode with Networking, run DC, remove any ports from Darkcomet socket tab and try listening. If it works then open nVPN and try with it open. If it still gave an error without nVPN then it is the client. If it didn't, and nVPN running still made it work, then It's another application that's using the port. 🤝 |
