Leaving rep on mods/admins? - Jean - Aug 19, 2013

If I remember correctly, you use to be able to view admin's rep, now you can't.

It's pretty easy to view a mods rep, even if it isn't listed on their profile. It is also pretty easy to leave mod's rep.

My question is, are we allowed to rep mods? If so, why is it removed on their profile? And if we aren't, why not block it like the admin group?

You can't access their reputation page if they are wearing a Staff or Admin userbar, but if they are wearing a custom userbar you can access it easily.

You are allowed to rep them but don't be surprised if they rep back if you give them a negative.

You can still view the Administrator's reputation'(s). I'm not going to reveal how, but it is possible. I think it's left like that to give you an option of leaving one, if you know how to. The main reason it's disabled, they don't really need it, at least that's what I think. The only thing having it enabled would do, is cause problems.

You can't rep admins.
You cant view their rep, not even by changing UID's around like before.

You can rep mods.
You can only view their rep by playing with UID's on links.

I just don't see why a mods rep is hidden on profile, if you can view it anyways?

Yeah I didn't really try further besides swapping out UID's, as I don't care that much. Just don't see the logic behind having it hidden if it's still accessible.

Staff's rep is not viewable on their profile/posts while they are wearing the staff userbar because they do not want their rep to distract from their posts (iirc that's what a staff's member explanation was). You are still allowed to rep them by entering their UID into this url: "https://hackforums.net/reputation.php?uid=[UID]", but keep in mind that the rules outlined in the Help Docs still apply.

You will be able to see their rep if they are wearing a different userbar because that's just how it was set up.

Administrators have their reputations disabled. I believe this is largely because it would cause a complete clusterfuck otherwise which undoubtedly the admins do not want to deal with.

Omni has about 200 rep or something like that, I've seen it before. You can indeed rep staff and Administrators if I am not mistaken as I'm a member on a forum with the same thing and I've repped the Admin before.
