Ok, well I currently use Jabber + OTR for communicating 100% now (Rarely use ICQ). Mainly for highly illegal processes.
But you can only do 1 on 1 conversations via Jabber.
I am wondering whats an equally safe way to communicate about illegal things, but in a group chat?
EDIT: You can make Jabber chat groups.
But are they Safe?

I suggest you try Chatcrypt. It's safe and everything is encrypted.

That doesn't suit my needs. I need something more low profile. Something like an XMPP.

Yeah I also use Jabber, it is in my opinion the best option, as long as you also are using encryption and for added measures, possibly using a VPN/proxies when using it. Another program I heard about is called Cryptocat which is a app for Chrome, not sure how safe it is, but it is a nice little app for the browser

Yea, Jabber + OTR is just fine.
But I want to know if I can do OTR on Chat room on Jabber.
Cryptocat is also neat. But isn't really the best.

I feel like you can, but I do not remember. When I first installed it, there was some thing about it with group chats, but I am not positive.
