Visual Studio 2012 or Visual Studio 2013? - 'SVENā„¢ - Sep 11, 2013

I currently have Visual Studio 2013 Preview I got it from dreamspark and I don't get why its a preview version, 2013 seems better but my teacher complains that he can't open my project since he uses Microsoft Visual C# 2010 or VS 2010.

I had 2012 but I lost it since I installed a clean version of Windows, I wonder if I should change back to 2012.

I only have 126 days trial on VS 2013 Preview, I have a student account so I should have access to all software and I don't get why I get a Preview version of VS 2013, Is VS 2013 even released or is it still in Preview?

Thanks in advance.

Try Visual Studio 2010. :) It's fast unlike VS2012 or VS2013 somehow it just lags my PC.

Then it's not VS' its problem, but your computer its problem, VS2012 works fine for everyone at my school.

Visual Studio projects can be upgraded (VS2010 project > VS2012 project) but not vice versa.

Also, VS2013 hasn't been released yet, the preview for developers is released and there was a Release Candidate released a few days ago.

Your teacher should atleast upgrade to 2012.

Anyway, you can use this to convert your project to open on an older version:

I can only assume it will only work for VS2013 -> VS2010.
