I will also include how to add it to PATH on Windows so that you can use the ADB and Fastboot commands no matter what directory Command Prompt is in! Firstly, you will need this zip file. Then, extract it to C:/ (or wherever you want really, but I will refer to the location as C:/ in the tutorial). Now you should have a directory called C:/Android/ with 4 files in it. ![]() Next press Windows + R to open the run window. Paste "Systempropertiesadvanced.exe" (without the ") into it and press enter. This window should appear: ![]() Click "Environment Variables" and in the "System Variables" section scroll down until you see "Path". Then click Edit. Go to the very end of the Variable Value, making sure you do not delete anything and add ";C:\Android" (Without the ") to the end. It should now look like this: ![]() You can then open Command Prompt and use any ADB or Fastboot commands from any directory. ![]() Thanks for reading and please reply here or drop me a PM if you are having issues or have any Android related questions. This is the windows version obviously, Linux shouldn't be too hard, my old laptop ran Ubuntu and I did this on it, can't remember how though. I've never properly used OSX but I'll have a stab at it when I get time. I may update this tomorrow with other OS's. * - Onіx - Jun 13, 2014 Fixed all images as they were previously on Puush which now deletes files after a certain period of time. They are now hosted on Imgur so should be good forever. * - Numinous - Mar 28, 2016 Now dropbox link is dead, please update it * - Grave. - Mar 29, 2016 (Mar 28, 2016 11:08 AM)APEX.HACKO Wrote: Now dropbox link is dead, please update it Use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118 |
