[Tutorial]How to change your HackForums avatar? - -Correct - Oct 14, 2013

Good Day, Hackforums' members.

Many member asked me the same question. Now, I'm writing this thread to let you know how, so you can consider this as a tutorial.

Step #1

Head up into Gravatar
Step #2

Register on by Gravatar clicking on

Step #3
After clicking on "Create your own Gravatar" you will be redirected into this page.

Step #4

Now; you must follow the following instruction.
You must add the email you used to register on HackForums with.
You can get it by visiting the UserCP it will be written on the Account Summary.

You can use any username you want, and the password you want.

Step #5

After registering; login into your account on Gravatar.

Step #6

Now click on Add one by clicking here!

You can upload image, add a link to image, or use image which you uploaded it before.

For example; I'll be using HF avatar.
Step #7

After choosing the image you want to upload; you will be redirected into a new page.

If you want to crop it. Crop it then click on "Crop and Finish!"
Step #8

After clicking on "Crop and Finish!" you will be redirected into this page

You must click/choose RATED G from the choices.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Now, you will be redirected into the homepage after choosing the G Rated.
Step #9

Now, you are done with gravatar and you can be able to change your avatar on HF.

Head up into Change Avatar on the User Control Panel

You will find the avatar you uploaded on Gravatar on the Change Avatar Panel.

Now tick it, then press on "Change avatar", and you are done.

Now, you are done.

Thank you for your feedback; I'm sure of that too, because if I wasn't sure, I wasn't going to make this tutorial at all :D

And yes, the old way was easy to use.

Anyways, this way isn't hard you feel it is hard because I added much information and steps but it is easy to use.

Did you use the same email you registered with it on HF on gravatar?

You also have to wait a little amount of time till it load.

Also.. I don't think non-upgraded members can use custom avatars.

Nice tutorial, thanks. However, you still cant use full sized avatars. It forces you to crop images rather then using the original dimensions HF limited us too.
