Full Disk Encryption - Spoofing IP & Mac Address - CCHrambo - Oct 17, 2013 My friend gave me his brand new MacBook Air. He want me to make it so he is completely anonymous online and that it is extremely secure. I was thinking about setting up... Full Disk Encryption on start up Spoofed mac address on start up Spoofed ip address on start up What would you recommend for full disk encryption? I've taken a look at file vault 2 but I don't think its as secure as it should be. I need something that cant be cracked or backdoored with a secure enough password? I was also wondering what VPN you would recommend on the forums? It needs to be offshore and bulletproof. Is there anything else you would recommend I do to make it even more untraceable? I saw CheckPoint full disk encryption but I cant find a price or where to get it. * - ItsATumor - Oct 17, 2013 First off, Filevault 2 is a great full-disk encryption tool. With 3rd party encryption software, when updates need to be made you have to fully decrypt the disk in-order for it to update correctly. Spoofing the MAC address is doable, you could write a applescript to use a terminal command to spoof it. Here is the terminal command, but you must change the address manually. Code sudo ifconfig en1 ether 00:e2:e3:e4:e5:e6Code ifconfig en1 | grep ether* - CCHrambo - Oct 17, 2013 (Oct 17, 2013 12:39 PM)ItsATumor Wrote: First off, Filevault 2 is a great full-disk encryption tool. Thank you for the info. My friend isn't very bright so I need the IP and Mac Address to spoof on start up. I want the to change to a randomized one every start up. I'm not sure if this is possible. I've never used applescript before. |
