Speedup the Netbeans IDE - iVision - Oct 27, 2013

Hey, I'm using Netbeans while developing a MS Private Server. But in my opinion the IDE is slow and reacting late. Maybe I'm used to the luxury of the Visual Studio IDE, but I mean when you enter something the 'Helpbox':
Large Image:
Spoiler (Click to View)
(After the dot) When accessing the instance members of an instance box (in VS called Intellisense

Shows up about 1 second later, and if you type before it shows up it doesn't even shows up. And it searches by the beginning is it possible to search containing? For example the instance members:
getName();
getMesos();
getReborns();

And you type .Name in the box the getName() is shown, is that possible or is it only a feature I'm used to have in VS..
It also complains that it couldn't compile because of too less memory that Netbeans had (using jRebel if that matters btw). Can I increase that? I've set the JVM setting higher and I didn't get it yet did that solve it? -Xms4G -Xmx4G
Another thing setting a breakpoint does takes ages (2 seconds :P)

To sum it up:
- Can I increase the instance member box its speed?
- Can I change the search of the instance member box?
- Can the box shows up when I already typed before it shown up?
- Can the box show up when you type a part of the instance (so not only instance members but instances as well.)? This wasn't even in the text 🤫
- Did changing the JVM Heap Memory changes the memory Netbeans uses to compile?
- Speading up setting/unsetting breakpoints?

I'm using jRebel and debugging at the same time maybe this is the issue? But still can I speed it up?

Thank you in advance!

It's normal since it would be useless to index every single class for the intelicence (or however you write it). It starts caching the members/functions etc etc if you start using them that's why you have to wait a bit. If you use it again you shouldn't

Well apparently Netbeans doesn't cache it. Or the cache is gone after accessing another instance, because since its a game you probably know that you access a instance of the player very often, but I do not notice the box is getting popped up faster.. (Even when accessing the same instance in 5 seconds or something..)

Thank you for your reply
