How to make shine animation! Photoshop CS6 - ChingChang - Oct 30, 2013 How to do the Shining animation! Before I start i'd like to say I know there is already a tutorial about this (Which can be found here) but having another doesn't hurt does it? Examples Spoiler (Click to View) Step 1: Start a new project Step 2: Start by writing some text, make sure the colour contrasts well with the background Do all the blending and whatever you like to do to your text now. Spoiler (Click to View) Step 3: Click on the 'Background' layer and fill it in with a colour or just make it transparent, if you want it to blend in with hackforums background, enter "#33" in the bottom box. Step 4: Select the rectangle tool on the sidebar, 6th form bottom. Spoiler (Click to View) Step 5: Create the rectangle so it starts just where the text starts Spoiler (Click to View) Step 6: On the right hand side, right click your rectangle layer and click 'Rasterize Layer' Step 7: Make sure you are on your rectangle layer and go to the top toolbar and click Filter then blur then gaussian blur and choose how many pixels wide you want it. Spoiler (Click to View) Step 8: Once again, go to the top menu, click 'Window' and then nearer the bottom click 'Timeline' Step 9 : Your timeline should pop up and look like this Spoiler (Click to View) Step 10: Click on your first frame and then click duplicate which is the second image in from the far left Step 11: Click on your second frame and drag the rectangle to the end of the text or wherever you want it to end. Spoiler (Click to View) Step 12: Press ctrl and click on both the frames. Step 13: Then right click the rectangle layer and click 'Create Clipping Mask' Spoiler (Click to View) Step 14: Make sure your rectangle layer is above your text layer, you should now no longer see rectangle, or if you do, you see it through the text. Step 15: Click on one of the frames on the timeline and click on the image 3rd in from the far left with 5 balls. Step 16: Now it will ask you how many frames to add, the more you add the slower the shine, so for me i'll probably add around 40 as 'Shiny' is a short word. Spoiler (Click to View) Step 17: Below your frame on each one it should say '0 sec.' If not click on the drop down arrow and click 'No delay' Step 18: Beneath the first frame on the toolbar make sure it says 'Forever' like so Spoiler (Click to View) Step 19: You are nearly finished, but first you must save it! Click File, then Save for Web, then save it where you want to save it! Spoiler (Click to View) Step 20: Upload and show it off! Your final image should look something like this! ![]() This took me quite a while so i'd appreciate some feedback :) Cheers guys, let me know if you have any questions! * - Paradoxmoney - Oct 30, 2013 great vouch for this thread it will help everyone to be a gfx expert , great thread my friend * - dotcomdog - Oct 30, 2013 Thanks for the great tutorial.
