Im on the victim computer and didn't realize the free version of jRat creates a task bar icon. Now I'm trying to remove jRat. I ran a scan with mac keeper and it didn't remove it as far as i can tell. Whenever I download the remover linked from this site (version 1.1 https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=3142421&highlight=jrat+remover+mac) and i click the exe nothing happens other than garbled text opening in a box. Please help me. Thanks - Dave

I already told you to contact jRAT's official Staff to get support on your product. They know it better then any other members here.
Also, as every RAT, you should have an option from your slave's control panel to kill the RAT. Try to look for it.

all it shows is the icon. There is not even an application running.

So you already killed the RAT on your victim's computer ? Because if you're remotely connected to your slave's computer, yes there is an application running, which is your RAT.

Listen. If you are CONNECTED to your slave's computer REMOTELY right now, it's because your RAT is RUNNING. If there's NO other applications running and the icon is there, then your RAT is causing it. Stop the remote connection and kill the RAT. You'll loose a slave, but that's it.
