I you are looking for free ones then they would not infect windows 8. You would either looked for cracked versions of paid products or use a RAT like Dark Comet which is free and have a DDOS feature.

you could use a free booter such as vbooter.com however you will not be able to hit much with it

ipstresser.com -> free trial is very good and produces more bandwidth than most of the shit advertised here on HF (if you really believe their false advertising, more power to you). 200 Mbps of DRDoS will result in 1 Gbps of traffic. Be prepared to wait though, too many free loaders keep the bandwidth allocation to free members maxed out almost 24/7.
vbooter.com -> free trial is basically shit, lucky to produce 20 Mbps these days... was abused by free loaders since the owner didn't put a limit on them.
ItsFluffy -> heard his shit is good, but yet to try it out... worth a try.
