Question about scammers. - Yoshi - Dec 6, 2013

I noticed that HF doesn't ban scammers. But I heard something they will only get banned if they admit it. Is this true or just a rumour?

Thanks,
Yoshi🤝

I believe they arent banned because omni believes you should be smart enough to avoid scammers , i havent seen anything about them being banned for admitting it.

yes it is and it isn't,... _ you seen it on a thread about someone laving right?

Typically if someone goes to the extent of bragging they will be banned, but otherwise not.

no point in banning them, they'll always come back just like herpes.

Don't want to get scammed?

Simple...don't buy/exchange anything here.

Only if they admit to doing it, that is why you have to deal safely and know who you are dealing with.

Who should i PM if i got proof?😧

Staff do not involve their selves in member deals, nor the disputes of them. The transaction between two or more people has nothing to do with hackforums staff.

That being said, they still reserve the right to ban someone for a fitting reason. For example, being a scamming prick.

Although if you PM staff a deal dispute, you may get some unwanted repercussions.

Omniscient does not want to judge who is the winner of a deal dispute, therefore he will only ban users who openly admit to scamming.
I personally think that is a wise choice.

No. The purpose is to shed light to the community on what kinds of antics your failed transactional partner may be up to. They aren't for staff reference as to who should be banned, though they can and sometimes do end that way.

You can report his post, pick the report reason you deem the most fit.
There's no telling whether or not they will take action though.

Alright, thanks for the information🤝

Someone just sent me a PM saying you're a scammer and had a skype convo screenshot as evidence. Should I ban you?

STAFF DOES NOT GET INVOLVED IN YOUR FUCKING AFFAIRS IN DEALS!
