I got a desktop about a week ago and it use to be a government one. Does anyone know why my conputer could be so loud? It is not hot it is just loud.

What does it sound like? The fan blowing fast? The HDD reading data?

Could be. If you haven't cleaned out the inside of the computer, do that. Also, check what programs that are running right now that are intensive in CPU under Task Manager

It could just be that your case fans are generally loud, many are.

It's probably the fans, you may want to buy quieter ones.
