How to remove watermarks/unwanted - Phyxcists Mate - Dec 27, 2013

This is my first graphics tutorial I will be showing you how to remove
watermarks or unwanted text. You can also use this to remove objects from a image.

STEP 1

First you want to get the image you want to edit.
In this case i will be using this Razor background and I
will removing the text I have highlighted in the screenshot below.

STEP 2

Next you want to select the "spot healing brush"
as seen in the image below.

STEP 3

Now you have the spot healing brush selected you want
to make a neat area around the part of the image you
want to get rid off.It is hard to see on the image where
the spot healing brush is but it is strictly only on the text. You want to
keep it as accurate as you can because Photoshop uses the surrounding of the area selected
to make the change blend in and look realistic.

STEP 4

After you have completed step 3 correctly you will see that the area you selected has been removed and it looks like the image has never been touched.

REMEMBER

Always accurately select the area you want to remove with the spot
healing brush for the cleanest and most realistic finish.

Yep there is two ways to do it. But i prefer to use the spot healing brush as it is circular and can be used in different situations than the content aware selection. Thanks for the feedback :)

Good post man, stay HQ. Content aware would have been much more fast and efficient though.

Thank you for the feedback Toki. I use content aware in most cases but I wanted to show off what the spot healing brush can do and familiarize people with the other tools available in Photoshop.

Pretty stupid, it wouldn't really work if the background wasn't black. Do a water mark that is actually on an picture.

here is your challenge: https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTzOklYasXW0Z5EMoRn7L9PqiRGoC8F4Nkj-JtfSdQVblD0aGLE

Either way guys congratulations you showed me up! :D

I didn't think you could do it. I am sorry for dissing the method.

This is too basic.. You can even cover it with your brush tool.
But in either way, it's a good contribution.
