Not Sure If This Problem Was Answered Before or Not But... - Wirt - Jan 4, 2014 So I jailbroke my device a while ago, and just a little bit after that my Safari crashed every time I tried to open it. I Google'd it and found no helpful results, they all were closed due to piracy, but let me put something to rest right now, I have no pirated apps on my iDevice. So what could be the problem? I can't link anything with Facebook right now because it tries to open up Safari but crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS! * - Roger Waters - Jan 4, 2014 (Jan 4, 2014 09:20 PM)иick Wrote: So I jailbroke my device a while ago, and just a little bit after that my Safari crashed every time I tried to open it. I'm having this issue as well, same situation as you man. I downloaded Google Chrome and have just learned to deal with it for now. I'm eventually going to restore and re-jail break it. * - Dreams - Jan 4, 2014 Do you have AppSync? If so, remove it. Also try this: Quote:Okay, I was in the same boat as you but I did this trick. 1. Open Cydia and navigate to the "Manage" section, then the "Packages" section. 2. Uninstall Appsync, then respring your device 3. Install iFile (if you haven't already) 4. Open iFile and navigate to /var/mobile/Library/Caches (or User/Library/Caches as they are the same, just a shortcut) 5. Delete the following 2 files from this folder a) "com.apple.LaunchServices-054.csstore" (your numbers may be different, I'm not sure, but just find the similarly named file. There's only 1 like it) b) "com.apple.mobile.installation.plist" 6. Close iFile and reboot your iPhone (Don't freak out, if you did this right your AppStore installed app icons will be gone but reappear almost immediately) 7. Make sure that your previously-crashing apps now open properly (which they now should). * - gorouchan - Jan 4, 2014 Sometimes Afc2Add causes the same effect as AppSync, so you might want to uninstall that as well. * - CSGO - Jan 4, 2014 Have you updated to the new mobil substrate? Make sure everything is fully updated in cydia. * - iNk. - Jan 5, 2014 A simple reboot works out sometimes * - S3LL3R5 - Jan 5, 2014 Reinstall Cydia Substrate (aka Mobile Substrate) and respring. I had the same issue yesterday and it fixed itself after this. |
