The character repeat filter is really annoying. When you type a color, like white, with hex, it will be #ff instead of #ffffff (added invisible character to last one).
[color=#ff]Test[/color]
When typing some code, it will remove the repeating characters in the code. When you link something with repeating characters, it removes the repeating characters and replaces them with just two of the characters.
This limits us a lot when typing, and it is really annoying. Many other members has already suggested this. Some were answered and some hasn't yet, but none were truly answered by a staff.

- Remove the part that removes repeated numbers by Charger
- Remove whitespace/spam filter for code and PHP tags. by Phizo
My suggestion would be to either remove the feature completely, or to make it stop replacing the words, but not count the additional characters when posting to stop the spammers (which I never see anyone do?).

I strongly support this. It caused me so many problems in the past. I already suck at MyBB formatting and presentation, imagine when I had this problem for the first time and that I didn't know what was going on.

Yep, it gets pretty annoying but apparently it's a 'feature' of MyBB and core edits are not preferred. It'd be great to finally have nice looking code though.

Why would MyBB add a feature that doesn't even work then ? That sounds stupid to me.

I recall that this was a feature added by Omni a long time ago.
