If you are a current customer you must NOT be locking into a contract when trying to do this because they will not approve it.

Are you talking about locking into a contract for another provider?

AT&T approved my unlock on an iPhone not locked to AT&T. Is it still possible that it is still unlocked? (I doubt this due to me trying multiple times and the phone not being unlocked.)

You have to pay the phone off completely before you do this. You cannot be making payments on it per month.

Once that happens ya, everything will work, for newer phones is where the unlocks come in though. The ones no one has paid off yet.

Nice method though.

If they had approved it you have to enter the codes they have sent you for it to be unlocked completely.
