Any default network key (password lists) out there? - kdmcshane - Jan 18, 2014 Particularly for netgear routers? 2Wire default key lists would be nice to find too. Can't seem to find any dictionary files for just random wifi default keys that come on the routers at first on google. * - PinkPanther - Jan 18, 2014 I'm not sure you'll find much in that area. If you search google images for routers, it looks like most stickers have the password as a random (seemingly random) string. * - kdmcshane - Jan 18, 2014 Default keys that are sort of like AA45B3C5FFH, etc .... Right. I somehow thought maybe someone compiled a list full of passwords specifically/randomly with that pattern. * - Kara Davis - Jan 18, 2014 If the algorithms used to generate the passwords are known, its possible to calculate the default passwords, if the algorithm is not known you will have to bruteforce all possibilities. I think the default passwords for 2wire are 10 characters long, numbers only (0-9). That gives 10,000,000,000 possibilities 102GB wordlist. (skidhacker does it for 25$ in 5 hours). I dont know about netgear passwords but looking at the example you gave i supose its 10 characters 0-9 A-F all uppercase, that gives you 11TB to bruteforce :( You wont find those wordlist for download, you have to create it yourself, with crunch its not hard at all. |
