Portforwarding | 4 Methods | Ultimate Portforwarding Tutorial | Guide - King Cin - Jan 19, 2014

Hello members of the R.A.T section on HF.
This will be my tutorial on how to port-forward, I get questions about this almost every day, and I myself know 4 ways to portforward, I will show the 4 methods I know.
✱ Manual Port-forwarding
✱ uTorrent Port-forwarding
✱ VPN Portforwarding
✱ Portforwarding with a tool

Manual Port-forwarding
Manual portforwarding is the method that is the most used. You will find this in probably every R.A.T setup thread on HF, I already wrote this 2 times, so I'll be copying it from my old thread.

Press on the windows button, type in CMD and press enter.
In CMD, type in ipconfig and press enter.
A lot will show up on your screen, but we'll be looking at your default gateway. Open up your browser and write your default gateway address in it.

If admin/admin doesn't work, ask your parents if they know it, if they don't know it either, you should ask your ISP.

When logged in, look for anything that says "advanced", "ports", "forwarding" or "portforwarding".
When you're there, something similar to this should come up.

Note : Every router is different, but it should look similar.

We'll only be needing TCP if we're going to use a R.A.T.

uTorrent Method
The uTorrent method is well-known and easy to setup. I'll be showing you this, it's not hard at all. All you need is uTorrent.
Head over to "Preferences" in uTorrent's option, then to "connection" and copy these settings :

It's as easy as that, the uTorrent method. Head over to canyouseeme.org to check port 1234 (Listen to it with your R.A.T while checking!)

VPN Method
This isn't hard or anything, but there may be members who don't know what to do, and will PM the busy owners on how to do it, just to spare them some time I'll demonstrate this too, I'll be using Cryptic's VPN for this, I've seen 143VPN and it's almost the same, just web-based if I'm correct.

It's really easy, head over to "settings", fill in the server you want, fill in port 1234 and it's done.

Port-forwarding with a tool
I haven't seen this method anywhere on HF, it's a method I found when I was building a minecraft server a couple of years ago. It doesn't work for everyone, but it's worth a try.

We'll be working with a tool called "Simple Port Forwarding"
Download : http://www.simpleportforwarding.com/download

When you've installed it, read my steps and apply them.

Close the "check list" if it opens.
Copy these :

Now right-click on the white space and press Add New, then Add Custom, and copy these :

Press "Add"
Now press "Update Router"

If it did succeed, you will get this :

If it gives a error, or it succeeds and says the port isn't open. then this method won't work, I've experienced it at a friend's PC.

I found it once when I ran a minecraft server. It's only useful if you can't buy a VPN and if the other methods won't work.

Thanks, I hope it does help other members, since this section is getting spammed with "Can't port-forward" or "I need a R.A.T that doesn't require port-forwarding"
