This One Might Make Your Head Hurt - Vexane - Jan 19, 2014

So, it's against the rules to impersonate a Staff member correct,
https://hackforums.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=2058549

But is this...against the rules? Because he took it because he was ONCE a Staff member, and now that he's not and he changed his name, he took it...
Is this against the rules or what? My head's hurting over this one.

I'd say it's impersonation, some members don't pay attention to the News so they might not know whether D3xus resigned and changed his username after.

But is he going around deceiving other members into believing that he was/is infact the real D3xus, which is now Richard Grayson?

He's impersonating an ex-staff member. I think the rule still applies to ex-staff members, along with the local moderators or "mentors"

No, but I don't know how many members are smart enough to realize that Richard Grayson isn't L33T.

Like #Thunder stated, the rule probably applies for Ex-staff members as well. But, I'd wait for a staff/mentor to reply to this thread.

Adding onto what Chief‎ said, you can see in this post he's trying to fool users into thinking he is Richard Grayson. Let it be for now, he'll get banned. I can assure you that.

As his real name is now Richard Grayson, and if he isn't going around saying that he's a staff member, I don't think it's impersonation.

Omniscient bans staff impersonators, he'll probably get banned if he continues to act this way around the community.

Technically being a mentor is still a status of staff. Plus, he's making people believe that he is the original D3xus.

The capitals in your title made my head hurt.

OT: He'll probably get banned, as he posted on a thread saying that he was the former staff member. Just let Omni or other staff handle it.

Incorrect.

Mentors are not Staff and are not meant to be treated as such.

OT: PM a Staff member and they will decide on appropriate action.

That's how you capitalize titles...your stupidity makes my head hurt.

I guess I don't see your view Adam. However, I'll agree to agree.

We aren't staff. Not even close. Would be nice, lol, but no. We're more or less those little backseat moderators who tend to
reply to threads really fast and close threads. Heh. That said though:

OP: The rule does (in times) apply to ex-staff, but only if being abused (like this person here). So, take your information, PM either
Paradoxum, JD, or Omni the info you have (I would suggest Para or JD myself though) and then wait for an answer. They tend to
answer quickly enough.
And just so everyone has a clear understand: Mentor =/= Staff and never have. We're to be treated like any other normal member on
here.
