ViewMy.PM - Upload and view your private messages online! Fast, secure, and FREE! - 'Snorlax - Jan 23, 2014 ![]() ViewMy.PM is a site where you can upload your exported MyBB private messages and view them at all time! It works for every MyBB site out there, as long as you can export the messages as .csv! The user passwords are encrypted with SHA-256 and a salt. Your passwords will therefore be secure! The CSV file names are encoded with many different characters, so people will not be able to guess the name of the file and steal your messages! To export your messages on Hack Forums, you simply go to https://hackforums.net/private.php?action=export and do this: https://puu.sh/6vrzc.png Basically select .csv at the bottom and disregard date! That way you will get all the private messages! A HUGE thanks to my buddy 1n9i9c7om for coding the user, upload, and PHP backend system! Without him this would not have been released! Features

Known bugs (Click to View) * - 1n9i9c7om - Jan 23, 2014 Finally you released it. :3 Don't worry about your passwords or whatever... passwords are hashed with a salt, the website is secure and nobody cares about your PMs :3 Only you can view your PMs, so enjoy. ;) If you find any bugs, report them. :) * - Cryptic™ - Jan 23, 2014 This is good, but what would make it even better is if u made it look like HFES's pretty PMs. Or if you had an option to change the PM style, so people can choose if they want the default, or pretty pm. * - 'Snorlax - Jan 23, 2014 (Jan 23, 2014 12:30 PM)Cryptic™ Wrote: This is good, but what would make it even better is if u made it look like HFES's pretty PMs. I can look into that! Should not be a problem ;) * - OldFag - Jan 23, 2014 Yes I will download my private messages from here and upload them somewhere else so I can view them. * - 'Snorlax - Jan 23, 2014 (Jan 23, 2014 12:41 PM)OldFag Wrote: Yes I will download my private messages from here and upload them somewhere else so I can view them. I can feel a large amount of irony in that post. A lot of people (like myself), like to store PMs a place where they can be read easily. Therefore I made this site, so you do not have to view them in a bad way through Notepad or Excel! * - Cryptic™ - Jan 23, 2014 (Jan 23, 2014 12:41 PM)OldFag Wrote: Yes I will download my private messages from here and upload them somewhere else so I can view them. Well you do have a point, a lot of people would be comfortable if nothing get's stored on the server. So people can upload the file, site reads the file, displays it, deletes the file. If people reload/close the browser, they will have to do it all over again. I'm pretty sure more people will like it that way. Maybe Snorlax can make a guest only mode, so ppl can upload the file, see it in their browser, and as soon as they close their browser or leave the page, it will all be gone. If people want to store them on the server in their user account, it's their choice. * - ❤️ BoxxyBabee ❤️ - Jan 23, 2014 This is pretty fuckin' awesome. Thanks for releasing this, I know I'll use it in the future. * - 'Snorlax - Jan 23, 2014 (Jan 23, 2014 12:45 PM)Cryptic™ Wrote: Well you do have a point, a lot more people would be comfortable if nothing get's stored on the server. If your account gets hacked through the site, they might as well hack your Hack Forums account. You cannot even view the PMs if you get access to the server, because you would not know who they are from. * - 1n9i9c7om - Jan 23, 2014 (Jan 23, 2014 12:41 PM)OldFag Wrote: Yes I will download my private messages from here and upload them somewhere else so I can view them. So people can upload the file, site reads the file, displays it, deletes the file. One reason for this site is, that when you run out of PM space, you can store your PMs there, so you won't loose them. But... of course it'd be possible to make it so that you upload it, read the PMs and delete it after that. We could add this as a guest mode -- but there's not much difference between uploading and deleting the CSV, except that you don't have to register. :P What won't be possible is to prove that we really won't save the uploaded PMs, but seriously: Why should we? There's no need for us to read your PMs, we have better things to do. ;) * - 'Snorlax - Jan 23, 2014 Or we could password protect all the CSV files to your account. Then you can only access it on the site if you enter your login password. How does that sound? * - 1n9i9c7om - Jan 23, 2014 (Jan 23, 2014 12:55 PM)Snorlax Wrote: Or we could password protect all the CSV files to your account. They'd enter it when they upload the file, and they have to enter it again to view the file. We just have to prove that we aren't storing the key somewhere then. 😝 * - 'Snorlax - Jan 23, 2014 (Jan 23, 2014 12:56 PM)1n9i9c7om Wrote: Or - even better - an encryption key? No. Encrypt the file with a custom encryption key chosen by the user. Then, when they wanna open a CSV, they'll be forced to enter the encryption key, otherwise it'd be impossible to open it. So even we won't be able to read them, much safe, very secure, such customer. * - 'Snorlax - Jan 23, 2014 (Jan 23, 2014 01:01 PM)1n9i9c7om Wrote: No. I am sure there is some way you can encrypt a file when the file is uploaded. In the whole uploading process. Well I do not know. I suck at PHP D: |
