[TUT]How to Really Annoy your Neighbour! Wifi Chaos #1 - IbnuAbee - Feb 5, 2014 How to Really Annoy your Neighbour! Wifi Chaos #1 Hi, In this tutorial I'll be showing you a method used for creating Wifi chaos. To summarise the method, we'll be creating so many AP's it'll really confuse people. Just because the title suggests it's possible to do with your neighbour doesn't mean you have to stop there. Heck, this would be a great prank to be pulled of at a university or somewhere with wifi. 🤭 We'll be using MDK3 for this tutorial and specifically the Beacon Flood Mode that comes with the suite. MDK3 for those who don't know it comes pre-installed in BT5 (and 4 I think). So, let's get started. Before beginning, ensure you have monitor mode switched on. For those who are new, that would be as simple as typing "airmon-ng start wlan0" in terminal and ensuring that you have a wireless adapter or chipset that is compatible with monitor mode. Now, I'm trying to keep this tutorial somewhat broad but it's difficult with the amount of thing you can do with MDK3. You basically have 2 options here: #1 Create many APs that have the same SSIDs (name) and channels as the target AP, thus disallowing for others to connect to the target AP even though he will only see 1 AP. #2 Creating many APs that have different SSIDs, confusing people as they see a hundred odd APs pop up on their wifi scanner. For #1, you would need to record the AP's SSID and channel, which can be simply done with the command "iwlist wlan0 scan". Make sure to save down the AP's encryption as that will be needed later (WEP/WPA). For #2, you would either need to create a list with the names of the SSIDs you want to create and would save it in the MDK3 directory, or you could leave it to MDK3 to generate random SSID names (for the lazy people). Now to get to the fun part. To open up MDK3, go to Applications, then Backtrack, then Stress Testing, then WLAN Stress Testing and then click on MDK3. For #1, you would type in, "./MDK3 <interface> b -n <ssid> -c <channel> -X" In the place of 'X' would be 'w' if the AP is secured with WEP, and 't' if it is secured with WPA. For #2, if you had a file saved with the list of SSIDs, you would type in, "./MDK3 <interface> b -f <filename>" and that would be it. If you don't have a file saved with SSIDs, and you wanted MDK3 to do the job for you, you would type in, "./MDK3 <interface> b" and it should be blasting away in a bit. Give it a moment for it to get things up and running. For anyone new to BackTrack, when I refer to <interface> I refer to the wireless interface that you have enabled monitor mode on. This would be "mon0" for most people but you can check that by typing in "airmon-ng" and it will list the wireless interface with monitor mode enabled. So that's about it, hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial, I will be back with more. Please do leave feedback below. Enjoy! 🤝 * - hackersallin - Feb 5, 2014 hahaha nice trick! I had thought of this before but its nice that someone posted it up for others! Thanks OP * - SIM-1980240 - Feb 5, 2014 My router lets me create as many access points as I want. So I created 100 APs that say, "Shut up your damn dog!" My stupid neighbors leave their dog outside barking all night long. I can never get any sleep. If anyone has some tips of getting rid of dogs hit me up a PM! :P * - FlashTrik - Feb 6, 2014 Haha this is pretty funny. I don't particularly do this but this is a good idea to leave little notes. I've been on one or two networks renaming them to "FBI" and stuff that is unprotected and it's funny to see how many people connect to it. * - --Alexander-- - Feb 6, 2014 seems awesome i will try it later thank for sharing * - g0han - Feb 6, 2014 Wouldnt mind doing this at uni for a bit of fun :D * - IbnuAbee - Feb 6, 2014 I apologise for the lack of pictures, hopefully I'll have some in my next tutorial. * - LorenzoHacks - Feb 6, 2014 looks very nice bro not gonna use itt * - rockat - Feb 7, 2014 thanks man you rock.. very usefull tutorial keep it up!!!!!! ;-) * - IbnuAbee - Feb 7, 2014 No worries mate.. If you like'd this tutorial you'll probably like my other one on DOSing Wireless access points like the normal home router. You can read that here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4044056 * - KazRow - Feb 7, 2014 Cool tutorial, would be funny to try. Thank you. * - Tipiqle - Feb 7, 2014 Thanks seems life a fun way to mess with people * - cms_star - Feb 8, 2014 hahahahhah nice tutorial thanks for sharing * - Cherry. - Feb 8, 2014 I think this will be helpful tonight, Thanks :) * - IbnuAbee - Feb 9, 2014 (Feb 8, 2014 02:39 AM)Cherry™ Wrote: I think this will be helpful tonight, Thanks :) No worries, let me know how it goes! |
